The Asthma & Allergy Friendly® Certification Program joined clinicians, researchers, and industry leaders at the 2026 American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) Annual Meeting 2026
Each year, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Annual Meeting brings together thousands of allergists, pulmonologists, and healthcare professionals focused on asthma and allergy care. For the Certification Program, the event provides an important opportunity to connect with the medical community and highlight the role the indoor environment can play in managing environmental triggers.
This year, the Asthma & Allergy Friendly® Certification Program exhibited alongside program partner Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA), showcasing a wide range of Certified products used in homes every day.

Leah McInerney and Gemma Cox (Asthma & Allergy Friendly® Certification Program) with Kenny Mendez (AAFA) at AAAAI 2026 in Philadelphia.
The booth featured products across multiple categories (from building materials such as insulation, paint, and flooring to air purifiers, HVAC filtration, bedding, and household products). These products have undergone independent testing against strict scientific standards designed to evaluate their suitability for people living with asthma and allergies.
Throughout the event, the team spoke with clinicians about the role product choices in the home can play in helping reduce exposure to common environmental triggers.
Innovation in Key Product Categories
This year’s event also highlighted the continued evolution of certification standards. Two categories receiving particular interest were treated carpet technologies, designed to actively reduce allergens within carpet fibres, and air purifiers designed for smaller spaces, reflecting growing demand for targeted air cleaning solutions in bedrooms, offices, and apartments.
Certified Partners Supporting the Event
The booth display was made possible thanks to Certified partners who contributed products for demonstration throughout the conference.
Participating partners included:
3M Filtrete, Alen®, Allied Home, Benjamin Moore, Blueair, Kimberly-Clark Kleenex, Knauf North America, Lanco, LG Electronics North America, Manson Insulation, Mohawk Industries, National Allergy Purfect Palz, Rabbit Air, Renegade Brands USA, Inc., SIJO, Tarkett, Tarkett Home, Trane, and True Value Company.
Among them, Rabbit Air also exhibited at the conference, engaging directly with healthcare professionals about air purification technologies and the importance of independent certification in a rapidly growing market.
Connecting Healthcare and Indoor Environments
Conferences like AAAAI play an important role in connecting clinical expertise with practical solutions that can help people manage asthma and allergies in everyday environments.
For the Asthma & Allergy Friendly® Certification Program, the event provided a valuable opportunity to highlight the role of independent testing and certification in supporting better indoor environments, and to continue conversations with healthcare professionals about how environmental interventions can complement clinical care.
