Collaboration for Healthier Communities

Certified partners feature in AAFA's Asthma Capitals

Every year, AAFA’s Asthma Capitals™ report not only highlights the cities where asthma hits hardest, but also the people and organizations working to make a difference. We are proud that many of our Asthma & Allergy Friendly® Certified partners are recognized in the 2025 report for combining science-backed products with meaningful community action.

Certified Partners Making a Difference

George to the Rescue asthma renovationFiltrete™: Supporting Families Nationwide

Filtrete™, developed by 3M, donated hundreds of thousands of Certified filters to communities across the U.S. in 2024. These donations supported families recovering from wildfires, improved air quality in low-income housing, and advanced clean air education in under-resourced areas. Filtrete™ also partnered with George to the Rescue to renovate the Fruhschein family home, ensuring healthier indoor air for children with asthma and allergies.

Rabbit Air: Clean Air and Health Equity

Rabbit Air has made philanthropy a core part of its mission, providing hundreds of Certified air purifiers to families in AAFA’s HEAL program across Detroit, Los Angeles, St. Louis, Chicago, and Alabama. They have also donated purifiers to pediatric asthma clinics in Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and San Diego, giving children in high-risk communities access to cleaner air. Locally, Rabbit Air partners with Breathe SoCal and the City of Los Angeles to respond to wildfire smoke and improve indoor air quality.

This initiative addressed the urgent respiratory challenges posed by wildfire smoke and seasonal allergens.

National Allergy: Education and Healthier Homes

National Allergy supports families through Certified allergen-barrier bedding and has provided patients with discount codes and samples, in particular at the Chicago Asthma Consortium’s Community Health Worker Forum, making it easier to take proactive steps toward healthier homes. Beyond this, National Allergy donates to shelters and community health worker events, ensuring vulnerable families can access products that make a real difference.

Renegade Brands: Laundry Care with Impact

Renegade Brands has aligned its giving with AAFA’s HEAL program, donating bottles of Certified Sweat-X Free & Clear detergent to high-burden communities. They’ve also provided samples to clinicians at major medical meetings, helping healthcare professionals recommend Certified laundry care to patients. Their outreach extends to senior living communities, where Certified detergent supports healthier environments for vulnerable residents.

True Value: Brighter, Healthier Classrooms

True Value’s Paint a Brighter Future program has donated thousands of gallons of Certified paint to schools and community centers nationwide. By providing low-VOC paint, the initiative improves classroom air quality, which is critical for children with asthma. To date, more than $200,000 worth of paint has refreshed learning and gathering spaces across the country.
