What is Certification?

A strategic alliance between the International Standards and Certification body Allergy Standards Ltd and the leading US patient advocacy group the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.

Vision

A voluntary consumer friendly product labeling and informational scheme that is the gold standard and most recognized health based product certification program in the USA. Through standardized compliance criteria, in store elements, meaningful advocacy, and multifaceted awareness efforts we create shared value for all participants.

Mission

To grow membership of the Certification Program by taking a leadership role in raising standards for consumer products and encourage manufacturers to innovate in this area so awareness of the issue is raised in our key target groups of consumers, retailers and manufacturers as well as Healthcare Professionals and the Media.

Creating Shared Value

As a program member in addition to carrying the Certification Mark on your products you will be legally entitled to use the phase asthma & allergy friendly™ in association with your product as well as the brand of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.

You get access to a wealth of exclusive information to help you maximize the value proposition of your product and company and increase customer loyalty.

AAFA working synergistically with innovative manufacturers and retailers is a powerful collaboration to integrate promotional strategies, build a relationship with your customers and achieve mutual goals.

The association with the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, the leading advocacy organization in America in this area, brings the benefit of Corporate Social Responsibility and aligning your company with the “cause” of helping to fight asthma and allergies. A condition that effects 70 million Americans and impacts one in three households.

AAFA and the Program will also be enhancing your marketing activities by informing, educating and empowering asthma and allergy interested consumers, retailers and opinion leaders – real value in a time when marketing budgets are strained.
