Allergy Standards Ltd is currently testing and in the process of certifying flooring products as asthma & allergy friendly^TM.

Certified flooring will be available later in the year.

If you have to purchase a floor product before this, please adhere to these principles, which we use for the certification process:

• Avoid low-cost floorings which may be major source of toxic substances in the environment, some of which are persistent organic pollutants.

• No off-gassing should occur. 

• A variety of floorings are now available that make an excellent choice for making a healthy low allergen home.

• Select products that have been thoroughly tested by an independent laboratory or that have a third party Certification Mark.

• Choose products that can be washed easily in order to keep surface and airborne allergens low.
